Creating Leads

To create a lead in our CRM system, click [New] on the Leads tab.

The required fields in order to save a new lead are:

  • Last Name
  • Company Name
  • Lead Source
  • Lead Status

The options for the Lead Source field are:

  • Advertising
  • Employee
  • Networking event
  • Networking group
  • Newsletter
  • Other
  • Purchased list
  • Referral

If you select "Employee" or "Referral" as your lead source, you must use the Referral Source field below to select the appropriate contact.  If the contact is not already in our CRM system (a personal friend, for example), add them.  We may want to send them a thank-you note for the referral. 

For any of the other lead source options, use the description field to specify.
